I’m so far behind with my blogging at the moment as we’ve got so much going on! You may remember in April we reviewed the Bugzz Dinosaur Poncho from Magic Fairy Wings, well this month (pretend it’s May okay?) we received a bug net and bug box to Clark’s delight!
We’ve been waiting for the weather to change again as it’s been so windy in Eastbourne, but yesterday was a beautiful day which meant we could get in the garden and go on a bug adventure! Clark loved exploring through all our bushes and underneath stones trying to find a range of creatures to add to his very sturdy bug box – Mummy less enthusiastic but daddy was the actual bug catcher.
I asked Clark to find little bits of leaves and stones in the garden to help make the bugs feel at home in the box, and he enjoyed getting stuck in finding leaves, stones and soil. The little wooden box has a wooden bottom and ends, with mesh sides so you can watch the bugs inside. There’s also a sliding shutter so it’s easy to put the bugs in, and easy to release them back out again. After capturing a few woodlouse, Clark started running round the garden trying to catch flies with his net (no butterflies were around!) – Though he didn’t have any success he enjoyed playing with it! We love the frog design but there’s also a ladybird and flower.
We’d definitely recommend these items for any bug hunters out there! They’ll be great in the summer if you’re planning a day out to the woods or park, and for £7.49 (net) and £5.49 (bug box) you can’t go wrong! They’d also make ideal birthday gifts for something a little different.
You can view the Bug Box and Bug Net online at www.magicfairywings.com there’s a great selection of toys and outdoor activities so grab a cup of tea and have a browse!
