Firstly, I must apologise, I've not posted in so long and the only excuse I can really give is that I've been knees deep in pigs in blankets, wrapping paper, boxes, selection boxes etc etc..
Anyway, the lovely Jen over at Just Average Jen tagged me in this quiz to sum up my 2016...
What was your highlight of 2016?
When my second son Cruise, joined our family on the 13th January! I was so sceptical about having another baby and worried as to how Clark would be when he came along but it has been absolutely perfect! Tiring.. but perfect!
Name one thing you are most likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?
Cruise being born.
Sum up 2016 in one word.
Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry with you through 2017.
I recently asked some mummies and daddies to help in a blog post about ‘‘‘What advice would you give to your former-before-children-self?’’ and one answered with PICK YOUR BATTLES.
Since this, I have picked my battles (probably to the point of annoying my husband!) It doesn’t matter if Clark is jumping on the sofa, afterall, he’s having fun. It doesn’t matter if he wants his dummy whilst he plays, it’s giving him comfort and he’s well spoken. It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t want to eat all his dinner, it just means in 10 minutes I’ll have to make him a snack! Really, don’t sweat the small stuff!
You read the post here - A little advice to help you mummies (& Daddies) to be on your journey...
Do you have any new year resolutions?
Not really, I just want to enjoy everyday and stop stressing over the small things!
How did you see in the New Year?
I spent it with family at our house. We all bought an Indian bag and the kids ran riot whilst the adults played don’t show keith your teef…! Hubby and I were in bed by 9:30pm, only to be woken by fireworks at Midnight..what a liberty!!
What would you most like to do in 2017?
Take hubby and my boys on holiday..on a plane! I thought I had conquered my panic attacks long ago, but Will and I were supposed to go to Rome back in August, just us two, but unfortunately as soon as we got to the airport I broke down and it beat me. Fingers crossed I can do it this year, or maybe next!
What are your main goals for 2017?
Live life to the fullest. Be the best mum, wife, daughter, sister, auntie and friend I can be!
I tag the following MumaOnTheEdge, Club Hub UK, & MummyMiller to answer these questions next and I look forward to reading your posts
