On Friday, we spent the day at the beautiful Spring Barn Farm in Lewes, a place we’ve never been to before, but one which will now be our ‘go to’ when we have a day free!
The boys absolutely loved it, and there is so much to do and see...
We love a little bit of rain in the Wilko household, and the boys love nothing more than running outside to dance in it, after all it’s something that nana has always encouraged and it certainly puts a smile on their face!
We were sent the perfect poncho for rainy day fun from Magic Fairy Wings recently, and every day since Clark’s dinosaur poncho arrived the weather has been glorious!
I keep meaning to sit down and tell you about this fantastic group we went to last week, and YAY after a hectic few days I finally have the time!
Little Bear’s Soft Play in Eastbourne recently approached us to attend one of their messy play sessions, and my first thought was there was no way I would be able to cope with two toddlers getting messy and running around but they, and I absolutely loved it!
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll already know that one of Clark’s favourite things to do is bake. Whether it’s biscuits, cakes, gingerbread men or muffins, you name it, he’s made it! It’s something which he really loves to do, and something which I love helping him with.
Recently I was trawling through baking hashtags on Instagram for some inspiration when I came across some awesome burger cakes on BKD’s Instagram account....
Will and I recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. 5 years since we said I do, 5 years since becoming a Mr and Mrs team and 5 years of bickering over who left a used teabag on the side - true story!
We decided we’d go out to the cinema and for dinner together, but this then turned into just dinner, which then turned into lunch, which actually resulted in breakfast! This happens when you have children, your plans go straight out of the window! But we did enjoy a lovely anniversary breakfast and walk along the beach.
Madagascar, a Musical Adventure presented by The Royal Hippodrome Community Theatre Company, opened at The Royal Hippodrome, Eastbourne today and a musical adventure it was – We loved it!
Clark (3) was absolutely mesmerised by all the characters on stage, and at no point did he fidget, chat or ask for the sweets which we picked up on the way in (just for safe measures!)...
We love arts and crafts in this house, and my boys absolutely love to get messy whilst they create their masterpieces! Painting, sticking, drawing and moulding are all regular activities in our house, so when The Creation Station contacted me to see if we’d like to trial one of their classes, with the bonus of no tidying up (!) I couldn’t help but say yes!
The Creation Station run award winning arts and crafts sessions and events throughout the UK, and are passionate about nurturing creativity...
Clark is now at the age (2 soon to be 3!) where he is already aware of the amount of time people spend on electronic devices. After all he sits and watches me on my phone whilst I’m having a cup of tea, Nana googling recipes, Daddy playing games and his cousins checking social media on their phones, so I knew the day would come when he would ask for an iPad.
I always thought I’d be one of these mums who would be able to keep him uninterested in one, but in a society where both adults and children reach for their devices when they have time to ‘relax’ it would be hypocritical of me to say no. And after more investigation into the apps which are designed for toddlers and pre-schoolers, I’m actually pleased I’ve opened up a new scope of learning for him, especially with the help of KidloLand!...
Learning about manners with Bip, Bop and Boo..
Join Bip the cat, Bop the elephant and Boo the monkey as they take a trip to the park to learn all about ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’.
My two-year-old son was delighted when this book arrived and was eager to read it straight away. The colourful and bold design really captured him from the start, and with chunky easy to turn pages, we’ve now read this over and over again.
David Walliams’ The First Hippo on the Moon is now in its third week at The Royal Hippodrome in Eastbourne, before showing in an additional 20+ venues throughout the UK.
The hour-long show has been imaginatively adapted for the stage by Les Petits Theatre company, who also toured recently at The Royal Hippodrome with Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs.
